The School has a national discipline innovation introduction base for aerospace advanced manufacturing technology and a national international science, as well as to technology cooperation base for integrated design of aerospace materials and structures, and additive manufacturing equipment technology. One person has won the Friendship Award of the Chinese government. The School set up an international major of mechanical design manufacturing and automation, which is taught in English, established 11 international joint research institutions with the United States, Germany, France, Britain, Belgium and other countries, and has recruited international students. By signing the "3+2" joint training cooperation agreement with INSA Lyon, Free University of Brussels, Belgium and National University of Singapore, outstanding undergraduates are selected to conduct undergraduate and postgraduate continuous training in well-known universities abroad every year.

Two Nobel Prize winners Prof. Wolfgang, Prof. Cui and other internationally renowned scholars were invited to our school for academic exchange. International joint educations with INSA Lyon in France and Northumbria University in UK were promoted actively; Joint postgraduate training agreements with nearly ten foreign high-level universities including University of California, Berkeley, RWTH Aachen University, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, etc. has been established; The Sino-US "Production and Operation System Performance Analysis and Research Center" has been established with the University of California, Berkeley, and the Sino-Sweden "Sustainable Intelligent Manufacturing Research Center" has been established with KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. Famous professors from nearly 10 world-class universities are invited to offer more than 20 English-only courses to our international students. Outstanding students were actively recommended to overseas high-level universities for joint research, and 2 of them were awarded as the UK Mary Curie Scholars.
